On January 5 we published a post titled “A Decade of Change” in which we mentioned that single men represented 10 percent of home purchases in 2009.
On January 7 The New York Times ran an article titled “Men Who Jump the Picket Fence” with additional information why single men represented the lowest percentage of home buyers last year.
Two reasons are men want the freedom and flexibility to move to a new job and men are more willing to share housing with other men.
