Realtor.org pulled together different sources and published an article yesterday on the increaseing number of delinquent mortgages. The number is nearly 9.64% and includes all loans delinquent one payment or more but excludes those already in the foreclosure process.
Jay Brinkmann of Mortgage Bankers Association noted that the 5.5 million increase in unemployment has resulted in approximately 2 million additional delinquent mortgages.
