The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention complied statistics on happiness based upon responses to the question: "How satisfied are you with your life?"
It is not surprising that respondents living in areas with plenty of sunshine and open space came across happier than those living in areas with less sun, crowded conditions and long commutes. Arizona came in number 5 with New York ranked 50. California was 46. Cochise County would rank highly within Arizona with our open space and ample sunshine.
