Activity is picking up as we near Butterfield weekend. I will be at Lion’s Park most of Friday helping to set up. I hope those of you close by will visit us sometime over the weekend and look me up… I’ll be wearing my Chamber Badge.

The historic Butterfield Overland Express Route ran from St. Louis to San Francisco carrying mail and passengers. A part of the Benson celebration is the transfer of mail from Benson to Dragoon by the Pony Express.

More than 80 percent of new single-family homes have at least two bathrooms, which occupy an average of 300 square feet of floor space, or 12 percent of the total area, according to a study by the National Association of Home Builders.

Cloudy Future for Solar Power

Arizona electric utilities have been slow to embrace home solar power generation. There are a number of issues that need to be addressed before we have a uniform policy. One site for up-to-date info is http://www.solarpowerrocks.com/arizona/. Much of Cochise County obtains its electrical energy from Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative.
