If you are in the Benson/St. David area Saturday, October 24 stop by the Gallery of Dreams on Highway 80 in St. David. Many of our local artists will be exhibiting. Refreshments will be provided by the St. David Cullinary Arts class. Music provided by Contra Swings.
There is no admission fee. Works of art will be for sale and there will be a silent auction with proceeds supporting the San Pedro River Arts Council. The Gathering is from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. And look for me, I’ll be around the silent auction. I enjoy meeting people especially those who read this blog.

The Federal Reserve’s “Beige Book” report, released Wednesday, points to housing as a bright spot in the economic landscape and applauds banks that lent to first-time homebuyers.

This article from Money closes with a comment about investor activity being rather high. We have not seen much investor activity yet in spite of some of the bargins we have with HUD homes. Our buyers have been families planning to live in their purchased home, many of them first time buyers capitalizing on the tax credit. Regardless, this is good advice if you are thinking of buying for investment.
