There is a concern that many contractors have not yet been certified which can add additional cost and delays to remodeling projects. You can read more at yosemite.epa.gov and www.epa.gov/opptintr/lead/pubs/renovation. These regulations are slated to go into effect April 22.

More Bees This Year

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: — Don Grafues @ 5:57 am

One result of a wet winter is the flourishing of blooming desert plants. Many of these plants provide food to bees and the more plants there are the greater the number of bees that can be supported in an area. It is not unusual for me to see one or two swarms fly overhead in the Spring. With the wet weather we had this year I may see more.

The Arizona Emergency Information Network has published an advisory titled “Tips to Avoid Bee Attacks.” In addition to the AZEIN article, here are two additional resources; AAA Bee Removal and reported cases of bees stings and other news at Sting Shield Insect Veil.
